Flying boats

Shadow Moth

While residing in Thailand, I embarked on an ambitious project that involved the design and construction of a flying Moth, a small, high-performance boat equipped with hydrofoils. This endeavor proved to be a formidable challenge, requiring the assembly of a dedicated team. My team consisted of two accomplished naval architects, a structural engineering specialist, two professional riders, and a group of five highly skilled composite technicians.

The journey spanned a period of two years during which we meticulously designed, built, and rigorously tested the boat. Our relentless pursuit of perfection led to continuous refinements and enhancements in the design and performance of the vessel.

Regrettably, due to personal reasons, I had to discontinue my involvement in the project. However, instead of allowing the design files and knowledge we had amassed to lay dormant, I decided to make them available for sale. This decision was motivated by a desire to empower fellow boat builders and enthusiasts, whether professionals or home builders, to embark on their own projects with ease.

This resource is intended to serve as a valuable starting point for those who wish to delve into the world of high-performance boat design and construction, offering a wealth of knowledge and inspiration for future endeavors.
